Introduction

This training focuses on developing positive communication skills that can be used as effective child guidance techniques. Positive communication helps caregivers to interact with children in a nurturing, respectful, supportive, and responsive way.

COMMUNICATION IS MORE THAN WORDS, IT IS ALSO TONE OF VOICE, FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, AND BODY LANGUAGE.

This training is designed to introduce communication skills that encourage and promote positive behaviors and open communication between children, parents and staff.

 Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the importance of and demonstrate the ability to use positive communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the use of positive communication skills, and use active listening techniques.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of how the use of positive communication skills can influence a child’s behavior.
  • Demonstrate the use of positive communication as an appropriate guidance.
