HIV/AIDS and Bloodborne Pathogens courses MAY be done online

HIV/AIDS Awareness Courses

A child care staff person needs to take the HIV/AIDS Awareness training only once to meet licensing requirements. This can be an online class, but the training must state that it covers HIV/AIDS/Bloodborne Pathogens.

Bloodborne Pathogens Courses

Labor and Industries requires all staff to take a Bloodborne Pathogens course every year. This can be an online class, however training should be provided on the center’s Bloodborne Pathogen plan and practices.
